Adult’s Art Therapy

What is Art Therapy?

Art therapy offers a safe, confidential, non judgemental space to connect to, express and reflect on thoughts, feelings and life in general using art as a therapeutic tool, within a therapeutic relationship.

As we travel through life we encounter experiences and crossroads which can be challenging to navigate. These challenges can stir deep emotions and thoughts within us or trigger something stored from our past.

When starting art therapy there is an opportunity to share some background about the client and what they would like from their art therapy sessions. Within the sessions there is an opportunity to externalise the inner world through symbolism and metaphor of art making. A dialogue between the client, art piece and art therapist may open.  Sessions are one hour long and occur weekly.
