Teenagers’ Art Therapy

What is Art Therapy?

Art therapy provides a safe, confidential, non-judgmental space to connect to, express and reflect on thoughts and feelings within a therapeutic relationship, using art as a therapeutic tool.

Art Therapy Sessions

Your art therapy sessions will begin next. At art therapy you decide what thoughts, feelings or experiences you would like to explore. This can be done through creating images in the art making, discussion with the therapist or a combination of both. You may have other ideas for your art therapy session which you can explore with the art therapist. The sessions are person centered and go at your pace.

The Art You Make

At Art Therapy you decide which materials you’d like to use, maybe clay, paint, markers or something else. You decide what the art will be about aswell. The art belongs to you. At the end of each session your art goes in your folder for storage until the next day. When you are finished with Art Therapy you can decide what to do with your art.
